Week 13 Ideas for Literature Review

I have decided to address the question: How can classrooms be transformed to motivate students they way games do?

I will answer this question with research I am using for another class  - with multimedia lectures. Many dry subjects can become interesting with full use of multimedia. Video, pictures and games both can keep the attention span of an audience and provide a second reinforcement of the lecture material.

I have already done some reading into this subject and here are my sources:

  1. Be sure to organize your literature review around a few principles of good games fro learning. I like this topic but I think you may have some difficulty making the connection between games and multimedia in the classroom. Although I saw that one of resources referred to "popular media" and others referred to the general more general term "Media".

Consider re-framing your question to read "How can the use of popular media motivate students in the same way that video games do."

The terms "popular media" and "mulitmedia mean different things" If decide to continue to use the term Multimedia you will need to flesh out that difference in the first part of your literature review.
