This map shows the variety of home addresses of my classmates for Education 6305. It is amazing to see the distances that some of the other students have from the main campus of Fairmont State. Only with the technology of the last few years could such distances from campus be supported. My enrollment in this class supports that the class is made of 21st century educators. This is the link to the map I made to see it in a separate website.

I believe that this Map of classmates assignment supports the second ISTE NETS T standard the most. The core of the standard is for teachers to design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning.

Google Profile and Diigo

The 2 blogs that I selected are Free Technology for Teachers and the Innovative Educator. I learned about a new Wiki called Qwiki from Free Technology for Teachers and read an article addressing different reading levels for students from the Innovative Educator. I have added them to my Diigo link also that can be found at the bottom of my blog.

Experiences with Web Browsers

I am old to have used all of the popular web browsers from the Browser Wars article so I understand the material well. Browser add-ons are added software onto web browsers to have quick links to common functions used in web surfing. I have used a Google add-on in the past and it was helpful in doing quick searches on the web. I am currently only using the Diigolet add-on. I did not have any trouble installing it, but I had to do some searching on Blogger to get my page to link on my Blog.

I believe that Diigo supports the third ISTE NETS T standard the most The core of the standard is for teachers to show proficiency in using technology to support education. By using the most recently developed software to distribute information, a teacher can follow this standard.

Locus of Control Survey Assignment

I completed the Locus of Control Survey Assignment and scored a 21. The results of this score are that I am judged to have a very strong internal locus of control. I agree with findings as I am a bit older of a student at 34 and I believe that with the additional experiences of age come a deeper understanding of the role that one plays in deciding one's future.
